Cayo District Puts Belize Property on the Investment Shortlist for 2010

The Cayo District Nature Reserve in Belize has been shortlisted as one of the best investments available on the international market, Property Frontiers has announced.

The international property investment consultancy is currently conducting analysis for its forecasts of the best destinations for property investment in 2010, and Belize property is obviously attracting their attention. Ben Jeffries, a sourcing manager with the firm said:

"We love Belize, because of the unique benefits it offers, like English being the first language, and the world class health facilities. Maybe it did get a bit overpriced at the end of the recent boom, but that has been a good thing for consumers now. We are currently offering the Cayo District units at £20k for a half acre land plot, on which you can have a 1 bedroom villa built for just £72,500.

"Those prices are very good for a new build luxury resort property anywhere in Belize. So the fact that this resort is located in a tropical rainforest nature reserve, yet just 15 minutes from the nearest town with all amenities to compliment those on the resort, and built around a world class boutique hotel offering free rental management for all built properties, and you can see why Cayo District reserve properties are hot on the investment tip."

Belize was part of the British commonwealth, and this is why English is the first language in the country. This means that all contracts involved in buying a Belize property are in English.

Belize also has the second largest coral reef in the world and a very large concentration of Mayan ruins to explore -- just two of the things that keep tourists coming back year after year.

Belize's medical facilities make it a favourite destination with medical tourists (people who travel for cosmetic, or in some cases essential surgery at a lower cost than back home) from the states.

As a result tourism is a massive growth sector in the Belizean economy, and property investors know that this rising tourism comes against the back-drop of a shortage of commercially available accommodation. This means that privately rented properties in Belize are in increasing demand. This is increased further still by the fact that tourists seeking out their own flights and accommodation using the internet is becoming more commonplace.

This means that Belize rental yields, which are also among the highest in the world on resort and touristic properties, will continue to rise in the mid-long term, making Belize property (http://www.propertyfrontiers.com/International-Real-Estat...) an excellent choice for investors.
