starts publishing articles that focus on the different virtues, life, traditions and culture of the Filipino people. The domain was selected by the owner and Laganap.com means "wide spread" which is part of the objectives of the portal, "to spread the good news and heart warming stories and news about the Filipino people."
The said site was created last November 30, 2009 and it is composed of about 5 writers. The articles published are still few but will be filled after the holiday season. The site is non-profit site (not yet) and seek for help for the victims of the recent calamity that hits the country, specifically the typhoon "Ondoy." The primary language used for the said portal is Filipino but it has an English translations found on its sidebar of http://www.laganap.com/. It is written this way because the site wants Filipinos around the globe to read the message of the site clearly. Aside from that the site was made to target Filipino audiences.
