A handful of talented students won some very cool prizes during the last two months of Kevin Gerard's author visits. Crying Cougar Press sponsored coloring contests and raffles at different schools around California. Many students participated in the contests, but the following winners stood out amongst the crowd:
Chloe Blunk and Sharon Yan from Vineyard Junior High School in Alta Loma, California, won the school's coloring contests. They each won a copy of Conor and the Crossworlds, Book Two: Peril in the Corridors, and a book cover poster. Chloe and Sharon used their incredible imaginations and produced some wonderful pictures. Their coloring came out great - a real compliment to the illustrator!
Jessica Cruz from Desert Springs Middle School in Desert Springs, California, outdid over fifty of her classmates to win a copy of Conor and the Crossworlds, Book Three: Surviving an Altered World, and a giant book cover poster. She used so many amazing colors we just couldn't pick anyone else!
Jonathan Pelaez from Frost Middle School in Granada Hills, California, won an AWESOME dragon statue. Over six hundred students received raffle tickets, but Jonathan was the lucky student that day. Perhaps Crying Cougar Press will ask Kevin Gerard to write a book about Jonathan's new adventures!
There is still time to enter a writing and coloring contest on the Conor and the Crossworlds website - http://www.conorandthecrossworlds.com/
