“Our new site gives users practical tools and inspiring information that can help them to protect their own safety and the safety of their loved ones," said Kidpower Board Member Pamela Alexander-Beutler, who acted as the project manager for the website relaunch. “Even though the digital world can never match the hands-on empowerment that people experience in our programs, our goal is to provide our visitors with a virtual experience that is as compelling as a visit to the workshops Kidpower presents to the community.”
Kidpower’s new online library contains articles, podcasts, videos, free coloring books, a new Spanish resource section, and a blog by Executive Director Irene van der Zande, all covering topics from safety for young kids, to bullying prevention, to stranger safety, to handing peer pressure, to dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace. You can also visit their bookstore to find comic books and teaching kits that you can use to teach your loved ones to be safe.
Everyone deserves to be safe. Kidpower’s goal is to make personal safety tools available to everyone, everywhere. No matter your age, ability, or location, it is never too late to learn to build safer, stronger relationships.
If you would like more information on this topic, or to schedule and interview with Executive Director Irene van der Zande, please call the Kidpower Central Office at (831) 426-4407 ext. 1# or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
