Sunny Acres Sports Systems announces today that it has begun construction of a new synthetic turf sports field at Chesapeake High School in Anne Arundel County Maryland.
The Anne Arundel County School System is the 5th largest system in the state of Maryland and among the 50 largest school systems in the country. With an operating budget of close to $1 Billion, the county operates 78 elementary, 19 middle, and 12 high schools. SASS will replace the existing natural turf sports fields with a new state of the art synthetic turf sports field, and provide additional site improvements to the areas surrounding the fields.
Chesapeake High School has active student participation in several field sports and anticipates extensive use of the new field by the school and the community. Sunny Acres Sports Systems has constructed numerous multi-sport, synthetic turf sports fields, throughout Anne Arundel County beginning in 2008.
Les Belcher III Vice President of SASS expressed the following: “We are excited to have the opportunity to serve the students, boosters and sports programs of Chesapeake High School and the surrounding community, by constructing a synthetic turf field that is safe, accessible, and can be played on 24/7.”
Located on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, Anne Arundel County is near the cities of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. and is home to the state capital Annapolis, which has a rich historical past.
