Established in 1999, John Strasheim, along with a partner had an idea to revolutionize the archery industry. What started with a few bows paved the way to a company with 350 employees and a very bright future? Extensive research and development mirrors BowTech’s commitment to producing quality bows and a continuously and rapidly evolving materials, technology and components ensure that the company is up to par on the latest advances in technology and that is practiced in every step towards creating their bows.
In 2000, Bowtech introduced Black Knight - its ‘fastest bows in the world’ as this first generation of bows were released, This was also when the company took their first archery trade show by storm and it paid off as sales for that year increased tenfold than what the company executives had anticipated. Four years later, as technological revolutions became more rampant, Bow Tech unveiled its high end dipping facility which use ink coating to a variety of surface materials which includes plastic, leather, aluminum, etc. This was also when BowTech finalized its acquisition of Diamond Archery, allowing for both of the companies’ growth. A year later the company motto: ‘Refuse to Follow’ – signifying rising above mundane conformity- and always going for radical thinking when it comes to coming up with new ideas to improve their products. A year later the company got the approval for the patent of the binary cam system which fully revolutionized the archery industry.
Until now the ideology that one must refuse to follow the steps towards conformity works well for Bowtech Bows. They have pushed beyond the limits of creativity and worked tirelessly towards perfection and quality.
