Local Company Releases Product To Help Special Needs Children And Their Families

Dec. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- (St. Louis, Missouri)  Ready, Set, Bloom, LLC. has released a custom-designed bed tent for children with developmental delays or other special needs.  The Nickel Bed Tent was created to encourage children to stay in their beds and rest rather than get up throughout the night.

The Nickel Bed Tent was designed by Matthew and Elizabeth McLain when their autistic son would not stay in bed during the night.  Not only did his wandering cause unrest to himself and the rest of the family, but it also could have proven to be dangerous if he climbed onto something, walked out of the house or fell down the stairs. Though the couple tried to find a product that would help, there was nothing that fit the needs of their son now that he was sleeping in a twin-sized bed.

“We knew our product had to be safe, first and foremost, as well as durable.  We wanted something our son could easily adjust to using, and he never had any problems with the tent.  When we saw how helpful it was for our son, we realized other families with special needs children might benefit from the tent too,” said Matt McLain, founder of Ready, Set, Bloom and father of an autistic child.
