Young has spent more than 30 years in the behavioral healthcare industry. His expertise includes managing multiple facilities, long term strategic planning and overseeing specialty programs treating impaired professionals, adult and adolescent eating disorders, sexual compulsivity and addictions. Early on in his long-standing career in behavioral health, Young was also a substance abuse counselor.

Young holds a Master of Education and Counseling from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Murray State University in Kentucky. Most recently, Young was the CEO and executive director of New Life Lodge in Burns, Tenn. His previous positions include: CEO and managing director of Keystone Center in Philadelphia, Pa.; executive director of Forrest General Hospital’s Pine Grove Recovery Center in Hattiesburg, Miss.; director of psychiatric services at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston, Miss; and program director at North Mississippi Medical Center.
