Liberian model, 23-year old Miles Powell from Jersey City, New Jersey participated in the Celebrity Boxing Federation’s fight card in Philly along with world heavy-weight champion James “Buster” Douglas to raise money and awareness about breast cancer. Powell grew up in Jersey City and has Liberian heritage. Miles fought on the light heavy-weight card against Italian celebrity boxer Anthony Stallone. Powell has been modeling in the metro NYC area with top designers and industry heavy-weights like Wii Yoga Game supermodel, Anja Rubik (Next Model Management) Diesel Clothing Company, Copper Da Don Designs and designer Stacey Angela and has several up-coming runways shows and potential national advertising campaigns in the works.

“I still can’t believe I was on the same fight card with “Buster” Douglas who unfortunately lost his father to cancer; and “Buster” too is a big supporter of trying to get more people to be aware of the issues of cancer - especially breast cancer.”
Says Powell, “The great thing about now being a more recognized black male model in the fashion industry is that great opportunities like Celebrity Boxing come along now that let me participate in major celebrity events that also have a great social cause that I really believe in.”
