Miriam Ben-Yaacov, a second generation lawyer and daughter of the late Antony Flacks, who was a well known, loved and highly experienced solicitor in Manchester, UK, earned her first law degree with honours in Liverpool, England and went on later to earn her masters degree in Law at the prestigious "Queen Mary College" of the University of London specialising in European law. Ms. Ben-Yaacov served her articles with now High Court Judge Ayella Procacia and subsequently was called to the Israeli Bar in 1989. She has also qualified as a Certified Mediator recognised by the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
During the first year of her private practice in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, Miriam has given her clients a first class professional service. Her name and popularity is due to her strong legal background, wealth of experience and pleasant nature. She is known to be pleasant to work with by both her peers and her clients.
Miriam has now outgrown her modest office in Ramat Beit Shemesh and is now moving to larger premises in Beit Shemesh City. This will allow her to give her clients a more central place to meet as well as allow them a more comfortable surrounding.
Beit Shemesh City is geographically located in the centre between Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Beersheva and is very close to major cities such as Modi'in, the port of Ashdod, Ashkelon, Holon, Ramle-Lod and many more. Miriam Ben-Yaacov was formerly an Israeli government attorney in the legal departments of The Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Labour. Prior to that she was the head legal advisor for a Non-Profit organisation fighting for those affected by the Israeli banking system, helping thousands of people keep their homes. Ms. Ben-Yaacov also assisted the Israeli Government Minister Sheetrit in getting the Guarantors law passed in the Knesset (The Israeli Parlament).
Ms. Ben-Yaacov has aquired extensive legal experience as a head assistant legal advisor in the Ministry of Industry and Labour prosecuting those breaking the laws of employing illegal foreign workers.
In addition, Ms. Ben-Yaacov gives back to the community by volunteering for the "Schar Mitzvah" organisation in Bet Shemesh, offering her legal services pro-bono to those in economical difficulty.
