Blogs and tabloids are reporting that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have a "secret family" in Amman, Jordan. The rumor that they were considering adopting children from this area began in fall, 2009, shortly after the famous couple visited an SOS Children's Village in Jordan, as reported by People Magazine. The visit was prompted by a special invitation from Her Majesty Queen Noor.
In reality, Angelina Jolie has long been an open and sincere supporter of SOS Children's Villages. In 2007, the Jolie/Pitt Foundation generously donated over $300,000 to SOS Children's Villages for work in support of refugees from Sudan. Ms. Jolie also provides ongoing financial support to the Amman, Jordan Village. SOS Children's Villages truly appreciates and is honored to accept her support.
SOS Children's Villages was founded 60 years ago to provide orphaned and abandoned children with a home and a nurturing family.
