Agilex’ Greg Pfister Tackles the Pros & Cons of Agile Development for Government in New Podcast

In the December edition of Realize the Value of Information with Agilex, Greg Pfister of Agilex Technologies weighs the pros and cons of agile software development for government users.  He also outlines a number of best practices that developers can use to align their agile development processes with the unique requirements of government contracting.  Drawing on his recent experience helping to develop the CONNECT gateway for the Federal Health Architecture (FHA) program, Pfister also discusses how emerging paradigms, such as service-oriented architecture (SOA) and open source development, are impacting software engineering within the government IT market.

As Director of Software Architecture for Agilex’ healthcare practice, Pfister is responsible for software engineering across all of the company’s healthcare initiatives.  He brings over twenty years of experience to the role.  In addition to his work on the CONNECT gateway, Pfister played a leadership role in the development of one of the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) prototypes for the Department of Health & Human Services as well as the Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) for the Military Health System.   Pfister is a Software Engineering Institute (SEI) certified Software Architect and he is also a Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP).
