The €195 million Autódromo Internacional do Algarve opened in November 2008, the circuit has already hosted the World Superbikes and welcomed over 500,000 visitors in its first year of business.
The total capacity of the circuit is 100,000 spectators with 15,000 seats in the main stand and the remaining seats in other stands plus standing room in areas around the track. From all positions the circuit offers a good overview for the spectators to enjoy a day at the races.
In addition there are private boxes in the grandstand and above the pit lane while in the middle of the circuit is the VIP tower which includes a range of services such as catering.
The circuit is located inland from Portimao with direct access road to A22 motorway. Facilities like golf, beach and the cities of Portimao/Lagos are now within 10-15 minutes reach while Faro airport is a mere 35 minute drive.
