Becky Williamson, San Jose fitness expert and owner of lifeSport Fitness (http://www.lifesportfitness.net ), has been selected as a local host for the first ever “Workout Worldwide” event. Workout Worldwide will be the world’s first and largest international charity fitness “boot camp” workout carried out simultaneously around the world on Saturday, January 9th. There will be over 50 remote locations worldwide performing the workout simultaneously.
All net proceeds from U.S. host sites will go to the American Heart Association. International participants will donate to their country’s Heart Association. Williamson will be hosting the local area event at Westgate Church (1735 Saratoga Ave., San Jose 95129) at 8 am on January 9th.
The event is aimed at raising awareness of the growing obesity epidemic and encouraging local community members to adopt healthier habits in 2010. The workout will feature a time and space-efficient total body workout that will provide a jump-start to participant’
A tax deductible donation of $20 to the American Heart Association will give participants entry into the event as well as a digital copy of the “Drop a Dress Size in 21 Days” home fitness program and interval workout music mp3 soundtracks. Ms. Williamson will also be giving a free two-week trial to any of her local fitness boot camps to all participants who sign up online and donate to the AHA. Those who donate $50 will be given a free month at a lifeSport Fitness boot camp.
