Wichita Area Technical College Recognizes "Difference Makers"

(Wichita, KS) - Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) and the WATC Foundation jointly hosted a special recognition event to the companies and individuals that through their leadership and dedication have made a difference to WATC and the students they serve and to make the vision of the National Center for Aviation Training a reality.  Approximately sixty people attended the event.

Among those who were recognized included the Sedgwick County Board of Commissioners, Cessna, Boeing, Spirit, Bombardier Learjet, Rockwell Collins, and Garmin.  Special awards were given to two individuals:  John Moore and Charlie Johnson (retired Cessna) who had the vision for NCAT and worked tirelessly to create collaborations and support for that vision.  Pictures from the Difference Maker Event can be viewed on WATC’s facebook page at Facebook.com/watcwichita.
