PARMA, Ohio – Today’s Business Products, a family owned and operated supplier of office products and furniture, celebrated its 25th year of serving Northeast Ohio businesses on November 1.

In a market dominated by national chains, Today’s Business Products maintains its strong market presence by utilizing the leverage of a purchasing cooperative with 570 independent dealers nationwide.
“Through the leverage of our buying group we’re able to offer better prices than you’ll get at self-serve stores, right in your own back yard,” Voigt said.
Starting with a leased 6,000 square foot warehouse, Today’s Business Products now operates from its 40,000 square foot showroom and warehouse on Snow Road, which it acquired in 2000. Don Voigt has been semi-retired since 1999, but remains active working with his clients and doing community work.
Over the past five years Today’s Business Products has made three strategic acquisitions, beginning with the April 2004 purchase of Mayfield Heights-based Office Emporium. In November 2007, the company acquired Office Supply Center, of Elyria. Last year, the company acquired American Toner Supply, of Strongsville.
“The majority of our business is in office supplies, but we also put an emphasis on office furniture,” Rick Voigt said. “We position ourselves as a mid market dealer of office furniture. We have an office design staff that provides a turnkey operation, helping you to create your office from conception to installation.”
Branding of the company through its familiar logo, including the prominent exposure of the logo on the company’s fleet of delivery trucks, also has contributed to the company’s growth.
Voigt also attributes close cooperation among members of his management team for the company’s ongoing growth and success. He boasts that the company’s first hire - Karen Cipalla - is still with the company and now serves as vice president of administration. Rick’s two brothers, John and Paul, also work with the company.
“The next 25 years will be more fun than the first 25 because we’re a well-established company with a great reputation to build on,” Voigt said. “We’re looking to do more acquisitions,”
