A fine Gorham 1872 gilded and brite cut engraved card case. Cover on hinged lid, gilded with a matte finish, mounted with a carrying chain. Some of the finest brite cut work you will see, typical of high quality work from this time. Very nice condition. Fully hallmarked on interior lip of case. Date letter E for 1872. 4 ½ by 2 3/8 inches. The price of only $450 is a steal when you consider the age of this case.
