Riverside, CA - Recently founded and launched in October 2009, Holding Joy Baby Accessories has quickly found their niche in the children and baby market.  With an emphasis on quality and design, the Kanzashi style hair clips, hair bows, headbands and baby accessories are a chic and vintage alternative to every day accessories.

Founded out of their house by Joe and Kim Sapko, the duo stumbled upon the opportunity amidst a whirl wind of personal circumstances.  "It really started as a hobby to keep me sane after having been put on bed rest at 28 weeks during my second pregnancy", said Mrs. Sapko.  "I never thought it would turn into a viable business opportunity."

Mr. Sapko states, "Kim just started making these hair clips four our daughter...and she didn't stop!  I started looking at the quality, we did research and couldn't find anything like it for babies and little girls."  Mr. Sapko quickly began to formulate a business plan and gather the necessary information to build a strong foundation for the fledgling company.

Soon after their discovery, the pair began to give out sample hair clips to friends and family with overwhelming support and enthusiasm.  Shortly after the Sapko's created their first two hair and baby accessory lines with hopes of selling their new product to local baby boutiques in time for the Christmas season.  "With Joe's experience in the wholesale industry, it made it easier to start calling on some local retailers", said Mrs. Sapko.  "I've never done sales before, so it has been a new experience for me, but well worth it."

After making a handful of visits to local baby boutiques, the couple was overwhelmed with the reaction from the shop owners which only made it more apparent that they have something unique in their product.  "Frankly, we didn't expect anyone to pick up our line because it was rather late in the season.  So when two shops brought us on board, we were ecstatic" said Mr. Sapko.

In addition to generating wholesale sales, the couple recently launched their brand website and they are already planning their Spring collection and wholesale strategy for 2010.
