River Edge, N.J. – Halocarbon Products Corporation, a leading worldwide producer of specialty fluorochemicals and inhalation anesthetics, today announced it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Center for Veterinary Medicine to market sevoflurane inhalation anesthetic.
“We’re delighted that we now have approval from the veterinary branch of the FDA for our sevoflurane,”
For more than 40 years, Halocarbon’s excellent product quality and service has led to its strong reputation for supplying inhalation anesthetics to the human and veterinary markets.
“When Halocarbon previously received the human FDA approval for our sevoflurane in record time, we expected FDA vet approval soon after,” said Meg Rubinstein, manager of sales and marketing, Halocarbon. “While it took longer than anticipated, Halocarbon is extremely pleased to now supply sevoflurane to the veterinary market and will do so with the same attention to exceptional quality, reliable supply and excellent customer service that we provide for our isoflurane inhalation anesthetic.”
Sevoflurane will be available from Halocarbon beginning in January 2010. It will be distributed in 250-milliliter amber bottles.
