This new tariff is already the cheapest tariff in six UK regions.
Websaver 5 replaces Websaver 4 and offers cheap rate domestic gas and electricity to consumers who are willing to manage their accounts online and pay monthly using direct debit.
How it works? Well British Gas says that the new tariff will track and undercut British Gas's own Standard tariff by 6% until February 2011 - thus making it both cheap and convenient.
Alex Doonan, Operations Manager at Seeus2save .com says, "Although some customers will find that this new tariff will be cheaper than their current one, we would still recommend that customers look around for cheaper UK tariffs as Websaver 5 will not be the cheapest tariff in every region of the UK".
This tariff is available for gas or electricity or for both (Dual Fuel) and both usage breakdowns will be featured on the same bill.
Customers are also reminded that there will be cancellation charges of £30 per fuel if they decide to switch away to another tariff before June 2010.
Households outside the regions of East Midlands, Manweb, Scottish Hydro-Electric, Scottish Power, SWEB and Swalec may find that currently OVO Energy will be the cheapest supplier in available to them.
