Dec. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- In an effort to reduce carbon emissions and reduce the negative impact on the environment that electric hot water systems contribute to, the Australian Government recently announced the following rules pertaining to the installation of electric hot water systems:

1) From 1st January 2010 - if a person has gas on their property, then they will not be allowed to install a new electric storage hot water system on their property; and
2) From 1st January 2012 - a person will not be allowed to install a new electric storage hot water system on their property at all;

Director of http://www.InlinePlumbing.com.au David Lees said “Given that electric hot water systems are the worst offender in a home with respect to carbon emissions, the Government is offering huge rebates to householders to convert to energy-efficient, eco-friendly hot water systems”.

Some examples of energy efficient, eco-friendly hot water systems are:

1) Heatpumps
2) Solar hot water systems (with electric or gas boosters)
3) Gas hot water systems, and
4) Continuous gas instantaneous hot water systems

The government has rated the Dux Airoheat Heatpump the most efficient in its class, independently assigning it 30 RECS. Mr Lees of Inline Plumbing & Electrical said “the Dux Airoheat Heatpump is easy to install and with the Government rebate, it comes in at a very affordable price. The beauty of installing something like the Dux Airoheat is that householders meet the new Government regulations and therefore don’t need to worry about the Government deadlines on electric hot water system installation”.
