December 2009 San Francisco, CA – San Francisco’s The Gun and Doll Show is releasing their fourth album, American Radio Two, a much-anticipated sequel to the band’s last release American Radio One, in an homage to classic rock, punk, ballads, dance music and pop. The album is a versatile and imaginative auditory trip across the radio dial, compared in sound and style to The Tubes, The Breeders, Garbage, Frank Zappa meeting Todd Rundgren, even Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Killian MacGeraghty is the ringleader, mastermind, writer and lead singer of this super-charged 7-member band consisting of three female vocalists, two guitarists, a bassist and drummer. Known for their attention-commanding live performances, and recently deemed the “Best Damned Rock Show in San Francisco” , the Gun & Doll Show over-delivers. With the eleven songs on ARII, you can count on ironic and witty views dealing with pop culture, relationships, sexual politics such as “Can You Feel It” the story of the first female quarterback in the NFL, “Cowboy Lingerie Store” about a rock star who should have chosen a different profession, “What I Hate About Punks” the truth about self-righteous punk rockers.
