US Patent Office Issues Patent for PiVoT to Practice Velocity Urgent Care Solutions

The US Patent Office has issued a patent to Practice Velocity®  Urgent Care Solutions® (http://www.urgentcaresolutions.com) for its modified EMR Practice Velocity Template (PiVoT™) system.

PiVoT (http://www.practicevelocity.com/products/pivot.php) is used by more urgent care centers for charting and coding than any other system.  PiVoT allows physicians to use paper templates to document a patient visit.  The SOAP note templates are scanned into a computer and transmitted across the Internet to the Practice Velocity servers, where data is extracted from the scanned images.  The Practice Velocity software systematically analyzes the extracted data for E/M, CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 codes.  In 98% of visits, suggested codes are posted in the system within three minutes.
