Black Cat Plus Radio Welcomes Guest Dara Chadwick, Author of “You’d Be So Pretty If…Teachin

In this month’s podcast scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 3:00-3:45 p.m. EST. Black Cat Plus Radio will feature Author Dara Chadwick in its lifestyle segment.  

After graduating from the magazine journalism program at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Dara worked her way up the editorial ladder of  several magazines landing at the top of the masthead early in her career.

Self employed since the 1990’s, Dara has also written for magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens, Family Circle, First for Women, Woman’s Day, Working Mother and the 2007 Weight Loss Diary Column for Shape Magazine.

After her writing assignment for Shape Magazine, Dara was inspired to write her book, "You'd Be So Pretty If...: Teaching Our Daughters to Love Their Bodies--Even When We Don't Love Our Own" (http://www.amazon.com/Youd-Be-Pretty-Daughters-Bodies-Eve...)  (May 2009,  Da Capo Press), a non-fiction book that helps moms raise daughters who feel good about their bodies.  Dara has appeared on NBC's TODAY Show and on Fox News Boston,  You'd Be So Pretty If... has garnered praise everywhere from Publishers Weekly to Newsweek online.

The show is hosted by Jodell Raymond, who has worked in radio, television and advertising and marketing and as business consultant to companies and organizations on women’s leadership issues.  Jodell is also the Owner and CEO of Black Cat Plus.  Jodell says about the show, “We are excited about the opportunity to use this medium to connect with our customers on a very different level and look forward to bringing the latest in plus size fashion and lifestyle news to an even broader audience.
