Premier Commodities announced plans to delay opening up an operation is Rotterdam, The Netherlands due to the global economics crisis. Plans initially was to have an operation in Rotterdam by the 3rd quarter of this year.
Managing Member of Premier Commodities Cedric Griffin stated, " It is not the highest and best use to attempt to expand globally in a downward or recovering economy. We do consider a Rotterdam operations top priority in the future, but it is just not feasible at this time."
Griffin also said the company had identified the person who would be running the Rotterdam operations, but no formalities had been reached or identified, just strong mutual consideration on both sides.
The port of Rotterdam is the largest in Europe and also is one of the world's busiest ports.
