Seemingly the last 4 X-factor Christmas number 1 tunes had taken their toll on Jon Morter and he was not alone. The Facebook fan page has people signing up in their thousands all making the same pledge;- to buy 'Killing in the Name' of by 'Rage Against the Machine' from 13th December 2009. The success of this creative campaign will be known on 20th December. According to Jon there has been a celebrity mention from Phil Jupitus and a host of media mentions too.
Now, whilst the lyrical content of the song is likely to get it band from being played on the airwaves the question is, will it hind or thwart the attempt to ensure Simon Cowell is not responsible for grooming this year’s Christmas number 1.
