E2 Consulting Launches Lean Requirements Methodology

E2 Consulting recently launched its new Comprehensive & Robust Requirements Specification Process (CRRSP) requirements methodology. The methodology targets dismal project success rates and lower stats on the usefulness of implemented features.

The launch included a presentation on the features and benefits of using the new methodology with out additional overhead to your standard project budget. The presentation generated round-table discussions on requirements, and how the techniques could be applied in late stages of projects in order to regain lost ground. The presentation itself laid out a strong case for greater attention to detail during requirements gathering and outlined a clear and logical process for ensuring the best possible requirements delivery.

The methodology targets dismal project success rates and lower stats on the usefulness of implemented features. In 2006, an average of only 16.2% of all projects were implemented. Of those, 42% of the software features are NEVER used!

CRRSP, addresses the quality issues right at the start of the process, by addressing some of the key discrepancies in the requirements stage. Tools & techniques are only as good as the skill and ability of the analysts to apply them. CRRSP uses very specific activities that incorporate enahnced tools and techniques readily available in the marketplace today.

The methodology itself is a combined set of activities derived from aviation software certification standards and software best practices.
