Local Girls and Young Women

Greenwich, CT(December 4, 2009)— Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut will partner with Bella’s Boutique retail stores at 1 Vine Road, 2nd floor Stamford, CT and 35 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY for a special shopping month that celebrates their shared commitment to empowering girls to find their voices and achieve emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. Bella’s Boutique is an enchanted attic of eclectic jewelry, accessories and gifts. Ten percent of all sales will benefit Girls Inc. of Southwestern Connecticut and its work inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold when customers mention they are shopping for Girls Inc.

Bella Stockler, owner of Bella’s Boutique is a strong supporter of Girls Inc. programs, and as a strong, smart and bold female entrepreneur, Girls Inc. of Southwestern Connecticut is honored to partner with Bella’s Boutique during the month of December. When asked what advice she would give girls and young women interested in becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Stockler says, “Go for it! Do whatever makes you happy. It was hard to start and there are always struggles, but no matter how difficult, the best feeling in the world is to overcome the obstacles and succeed. You need to be courageous and creative, because life is too short to play it safe and quiet.” Ms. Stockler’s fifteen year old daughter, Rebecca has played a part in the creation of Bella’s Boutique. Rebecca assisted with remodeling and decorating the stores and also assists with the buying of merchandise selections.

Ms. Stockler says “Both Becca and I believe in dreams and the certainty of achieving them with courage and determination. We also try to hold ourselves to a set of values and standards that value women, knowledge, hard work and moral behavior. Girls Inc. of Southwestern surely shares the same principles we do, so partnering with the organization was a no brainer. We hope to raise enough money to be able to reach a larger number of young ladies and get the community to participate, whether it is donating their time by volunteering or their expertise for lectures, event planning, and other activities.”

As we enter the holiday season, Girls Inc. of Southwestern Connecticut believes there is no better gift to give than one that inspires youth and in this case, a young Fairfield County girl by shopping at Bella’s Boutique. Each purchase that is identified as a “Girls Inc. purchase” will benefit programming for girls that the organization serves in the Fairfield County territory.
