Beginning Friday, December 18th, four gamers from Kalamazoo, Michigan will host their first gaming marathon to raise money for Child’s Play Charity, a charity providing games, books and toys to patients of children’s hospitals around the world. The marathon will be broadcasted live online to attract and encourage people to donate. Those who are willing to support this marathon event can donate directly to Child’s Play through the website www.72hoursremain.com. The marathon will be based off a popular video game, Zelda: Majora’s Mask, in which the main character, Link, has only 72 hours to save the world. The marathon will take place over the course of three days, or 72 hours, just as in the game. During this time, four gamers will be playing video games from three well-known categories: the Mario, Zelda, and Metroid series. Selected games have been chosen by each individual player and will be rotated in and out through the three days.
