An Asia-wide ERP system had to be selected and implemented to support business operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
The first phase of the project involved capturing the knowledge of the business team members and translating it in to regional best business practices. These practices were used to select the most appropriate business software and to set up this software in such a way that it would optimally support Asia-wide business operations.
Via a series of workshops and meetings the project team's findings were shared with the Management Teams in the countries involved. Acceptance of the project team’s deliverables was obtained and a 'go' given by the Management Teams to continue with the Asia-wide implementation of SAP.
SAP implementation went so smoothly in Vietnam that the Management Team added Hong Kong and Singapore to the list of countries to be converted to SAP.
With a continuous focus on quality and the human factor all implementations in Asia were successfully completed. In total, eight Dutch Lady operations were converted to SAP.
In fact, the project was so successful that Dutch Lady Malaysia, Frisian Flag [Susu Bendera] Indonesia and Foremost Thailand have adopted NEPM™ as their world standard for business and project practices.
