Nexcom Launches “Signage-Ready” Panel PC

PDSP 0810 is a “signage-ready” multi-media panel PC, which has been specifically designed as a cost-effective “all-in-one” solution for digital signage applications. Incorporating an ultra-reliable media player/motherboard, 8.9” 16:9 LCD Display and feature-rich Digital Signage Management Software, PDSP 0810 is the perfect solution for “on-shelf” advertising within supermarkets; and a multitude of other digital signage applications within retail, hospitality, education, healthcare and transportation

Based on the energy-efficient Intel® Atom™ N270 1.6GHz CPU, the fan-less design of PDSP 0810 makes for superb reliability and noise-free operation. Content can be updated via Dual GbE LAN or Wireless internet connection (via mini pci card) with storage via a 2.5” SATA HDD. Other features of the signage player include one additional VGA port, two RS232/422/485 Com ports and four USB ports.

More than just a Panel PC, PDSP 0810 is preloaded with software that allows the user to schedule, format, preview and play digital signage content. The platform can support multi-zone positioning, scrolling text, flash and numerous video file formats up to HD 720p   including MPEG, AVI, WMV, SWF. Multimedia presentations can be remotely loaded onto player via LAN or wireless connection. When used in combination with dynamic visual content, the PDS 0810 can be used to effectively target audiences with brands and products. PDSP 0810 will find applications within digital signage, POS (point of sale), and kiosk applications.
