Carroll Shelby Foundation’s 2010 “win-a-shelby” Raffle Features Pieces Of The Shelby Legacy

The Carroll Shelby Foundation’s “Win-a-Shelby” raffle, which is famous for giving away some of Carroll Shelby’s hottest cars, will award “Performance,” “Leisure” and “Garage” Collections to the three lucky winners of the 2010 contest.  The Shelby Collections are packed full of exclusive Shelby merchandise and memorabilia that embody the Shelby lifestyle.  The 2010 Win-a-Shelby raffle was launched recently during the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.  All proceeds from the contest will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation.

Three winners will be drawn in order on May 29, 2010, and asked to choose from the three collections; once a package is chosen it cannot be selected again.  Raffle tickets are $10 for one ticket; $50 for six tickets, $100 for 13 tickets; and $300 for 45 tickets.  To purchase tickets for the 2010 raffle, visit WinaShelby.org or call (310) 538-0126.

“We changed things up for our 2010 ‘Win-a-Shelby’ raffle to make Shelby products – like engines, books and cabinet systems – the prizes,” said Jenni Shreeves, director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation.  “Our donors and Shelby fans across the world are constantly telling us that they want more Shelby ‘stuff.’  These ultimate Shelby Collections feed that demand with authentic products from various Shelby companies, including Shelby Licensing, Shelby Merchandise and Shelby Engines.”

The Performance Collection, which is valued at $25,000, represents the power and mystique that shaped the Shelby legacy.  Items include a Windsor Shelby 427 engine, Carroll’s Stetson black hat, a Shelby Cobra pit wall mural and a Bill Neale print collection signed by Shelby and Neale.  

Valued at $24,000, the Leisure Collection embodies Carroll’s appetite for fun on and off the track.  Highlights include a Shelby GT500 golf cart, an Ogio golf bag, Shelby signature luggage and a Shelby book collection of autographed tales from Carroll’s days as a driver, team owner and manufacturer.

The Garage Collection is valued at $15,000 and can transform any garage into a Shelby workshop.  Garage products include a Shelby collage cabinet system, a Shelby Cobra couch, a Shelby autographed Mustang hood and a Shelby/Kicker iPod docking station.
