Dec. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- For the last few years, cleaning businesses have dominated the list of top small business franchises. And, heading into 2010 is no different. According to Entrepreneur[dot]com's list of fastest growing franchises, four of the top 10 were some type of cleaning business.

Yuwanda Black, editor of the foreclosure blog, ForeclosureBusinessNews[dot]com says that she is not surprised, and cites several reasons. Besides the reason listed above, Ms. Black states:

"All the economic indicators and real estate experts have forecast that foreclosures will continue to rise right through 2010."

For example, the Mortgage Banker’s Association states that about 4 million homeowners were either in foreclosure or at least three months behind on their mortgage payments as of September of this year [2009].

And, when you consider the fact that unemployment – currently at 10.2 percent – is at a 26-year high, it’s a “perfect storm,” if you will for more foreclosures to happen."

For those interested in becoming self-employed, foreclosure cleaning is an ideal way to get in now – while the service is sorely needed – and grow a successful business for years to come.
