Portugal's economy is out of recession, with a 0.9% growth in the third quarter, following the 0.5% growth recorded the previous quarter.
This rise has had a knock on effect to property sales, which is becoming more of a demand. Many have suggested that this popularity is coming from customers who would have previously been interested in purchasing property in sunny Spain. However Spain’s economic climate does not match its Mediterranean climate therefore buyers are taking more of an interest in prosperous Portugal.
Portugal has always been a popular destination with overseas property buyers, especially the Silver Coast (http://www.albatrossvillas.com) and Praia D’el Rey regions. Buyers and holiday makers tend to be more attracted to the Silver Coast, with is an unspoilt haven of glorious beaches and charming villages than other parts of Portugal making it a property hot spot.
