The stunning Motorola Dext is a full QWERTY keyboard touch screen beauty with five way navigation key. The sophisticate look of body comes from delicately carve out bodylines to depict its class apart in scintillating Winter White and Midnight Titanium colours. The operating system is latest version of Android supported on potent Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor. The relative qualitative feature of HTC Hero looks to be quite at par with Dext with too elegant appearance. The body colour ranges from delicate Pink, White, Brown, graphite and Black colours. The use of Android support has come up in this model for the third time in series with Android based mobiles from the house of HTC.

These are Java supported handsets with good gaming features. Positioned to compete with each other, both Motorola Dext and HTC Hero are provided with 5MP auto-focus camera at 2592 x 1944 pixels. The marked difference in camera feature goes for Geo-tagging facility and HVGA at 24fps video capturing in Dext against Touch focus via software update and CIF 15 fps video capturing feature of Hero. None of the sets have a secondary camera. Facts in the aspect of memory come up to be 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM in Dext as against 288 MB RAM and 512MB ROM in Hero. However, both of these sets have expandability with the use of microSD card. So far Phonebook (literally with unlimited entries), Call records (literally with unlimited entries) and Photocall features are concerned, the level is same in both the sets.

Display Motorola Dext is 3.1 inches TFT capacitive touch screen, 256K colors at 320 x 480 pixels, The display is supported with Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Comparatively, the display of HTC Hero makes up for 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen, 65K colors at 320 x 480 pixels. Hero is also supported with Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate in addition to Multi-touch input method, the Trackball and sensitive UI.

Both of these handsets look to be great in many more features, but literally compensating for shortfall of one by addition of something else.
