MobileSyncBrowser (MSB) is the simple, intuitive software utility to view, protect and recover your iPhone and iPod Touch data from your Mac or Windows PC.
MobileSyncBrowser 3.1 adds two groundbreaking features to manage and enhance backups and restores.

CoreRestore allows the user to create special backups with specific files to restore their devices at a later time. This is an invaluable aid when a device is having problems and a Reset/Restore simply causes the issue to reappear. Now users can reset their device and restore only their 'core' personal data without restoring settings files that may cause problems. Users can also save application-specific preferences and even game stats for later use.

Rollback allows users to keep older, historical backups for restoration. Because iTunes normally keeps only the most recent backup, users may find the current backup lacks important data that existed in a previous backup. MSB users now have the option to prepare these 'RollBack' copies ahead of time.

What is MobileSyncBrowser?
Every time you synchronized your device into the computer, iTunes kept a local copy of many important data files contained in your iPhone's SMS and Notes applications, all your contacts, as well as your recent call history. In short, your iPhone has always had a hidden clone.

MSB was developed in 2007 on the heels of the initial release of the iPhone. It was the first and remains the only full-featured utility of its kind for Mac and Windows. Thousands of users like you have used MSB, often in ways that couldn't be anticipated. MSB Plus version (contingency features for Data Recovery) allows you to export any file located in the backup. This includes photos, bookmark files, text messages, and more. It's more complete and designed to recover data that may not synchronize with your basic files.
