Starting December 3rd, Chinese students will be able to create accounts on VerbaLearn.com, a free service for building English-language vocabulary. VerbaLearn has garnered a large following in India, and hopes that it will find similar success in the Chinese market.
"Many of our users studying for the GRE have been Indian college students looking to gain entrance into foreign universities, particularly in the U.S.", said James Potter, company Co-Founder. "Students in many other parts of the world can't afford test prep services offered in U.S. dollars. Our service has been so successful in those countries because it fills an unmet need and is free."
VerbaLearn's SAT, ACT, and GRE test prep courses may help students in China, just as they have in India. After taking his GRE test, Kishore, a undergraduate student in Bangalore, India said, "I was aware of each and every word that appeared on the screen. And more than 80% thanks to VerbaLearn."
VerbaLearn also offers courses in English as a Second Language (ESL). The Intermediate ESL and Advanced ESL courses offer TOEFL test takers, as well as other users not interested in study abroad, a way to develop their English proficiency.
