Folsom, CA – Cinema West and Elliott Homes are hosting the Palladio 16 Cinemas Sneak Preview Charity Event on December 9, 2009, kicking off the grand opening of Folsom’s new Palladio 16 Cinemas, Sacramento region’s only all-digital projection theatre, and by February 2010, the largest solar-powered movie complex in the U.S. Mercy Foundation has been named a beneficiary to receive proceeds from the event.

More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend the Hollywood-style premiere experience complete with a red carpet entrance, movie impersonators, fans and mock paparazzi. Once inside the state-of-the-art movie complex, guests will have the opportunity to select from one of four films being screened and will enjoy free popcorn and soda, courtesy of Cinema West. Movie show times are at 7:15 p.m., 7:25 p.m., 7:35 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

“Mercy Foundation and the Sisters of Mercy have been caring for those in need in our community for generations,” says Brian Spickard, Vice President of Elliott Homes. “Our gift to Mercy will help victims of stroke get the best care possible, right in their own community, close to home and their families.”

Established in 1954, Mercy Foundation is the fundraising entity for the ministries of the Sisters of Mercy including the local Mercy hospitals and free and low-cost clinics, education, affordable housing and care for the poor and the elderly in the greater Sacramento region. Proceeds to Mercy Foundation will benefit the telemedicine program at Mercy Hospital of Folsom to help enhance programs and services and improve treatment options for patients suffering from stroke.

The first phase of the much-awaited Palladio at Broadstone includes the Palladio 16 Cinemas and an adjoining parking garage. The next phases of the open-air, mixed-use center will gradually open in the next couple of years and will offer upscale fashion, destination restaurants, entertainment and other lifestyle experiences in a classic Italian setting.

The public is invited to be the first to experience the new, beautiful theatre. Tickets to the Palladio Cinema Sneak Preview Charity Event can be purchased online at www.goPalladio.com and at the door for $20 per person.
