Burlington, Mass. – StarWind 5.0 iSCSI SAN software offers failback with advanced fast synchronization technology to rapidly return your operation to the primary storage node and normal operation after recovery from a failure. StarWind 5.0 has true active-active architecture that replicates data onto two storage nodes or appliances simultaneously. In the event that one of these primary storage nodes fails, the second remains active and continues operating without any interruption making data fully accessible at all times. The system will then failback and synchronize to the first storage node after it is back online. This proprietary "Fast Sync" technology permits quick synchronization to the original storage node after a failure instead of performing a full synchronization from scratch required by most alternative failback technologies.
