Artist creates maze portrait for Gene Simmons
“We are proud to announce the completion and release of yet another maze for a celebrity, this time Gene Simmons from the rock band KISS” says Keith Nanwood, spokesman at Ink Blot Mazes. Digital versions of the maze where released to the internet (http://teamofmonkeys.com as well as vetted on Facebook and Twitter earlier this week. “We’ve gotten quite a bit of publicity from this one.”

“I focused on making this maze as psychedelic as possible because the background alone had to meet the energy levels of Mr. Simmons” says Yonatan Frimer, the artist who created the maze. “Any maze or any photograph of Gene Simmons really screams to the audience, since it’s so vexing, so I had to make an extra effort to boost the captivation factor in combining the two.”
The maze is a portrait of Gene Simmons sticking out his signature tongue while sporting his full face make up that he is famous for. Gene appears at a bit of a skewed angle, and the background is of concentric psychedelic circles that invert from negative to positive. “It definitely invokes a double-take from anyone who walks or clicks past it.” Adds Nanwood.
