DESFA SA to Install Latest Pipeline Management Software from Energy Solutions International (ESI)

PipelineManager to monitor Greece’s National Natural Gas System

Energy Solutions International, Inc. (ESI), a world-leading supplier of software solutions for oil and gas pipelines, signed a contract with DESFA SA, to upgrade DESFA’s existing pipeline simulation software to the latest version of PipelineManager®. The DEFSA system is the first pipeline network to connect Caspian and Middle East gas to Europe and has helped solidify Greece’s role as an energy hub.

As part of the system-wide upgrade, DESFA will deploy PipelineManager to provide real time monitoring and predictive applications. In addition, the upgrade will include VisualPipeline® - PipelineManager’s multilingual state-of-the-art graphical interface. It will offer DESFA unprecedented insight into current and future pipeline operations.

The deployment of PipelineManager will enable DESFA to monitor its entire pipeline network, minimize inventory losses via better leak detection, and improve security with audit trails for several levels and types of users.  Everything is tied together and presented via VisualPipeline. In addition, data can easily be shared with other Windows-based applications.
