A young veterinarian nurse from Tunbridge Wells in the south of England is venturing into cyber space for the first time with her new website. Aimed primarily at cat and dog lovers, the site advocates prevention rather than cure and natural remedies where appropriate.
Beth Kirwan RVN has worked in general practice and with large animals. She has worked as an equine veterinary nurse but now concentrates on smaller challenges. She decided to launch her new website after numerous out of hours calls to her home. Her willingness to please both pets and owners was becoming detrimental to her own health.
"So many times I have to answer the same questions that I thought I would set about writing them down. Clients at my clinic and the vets I work for love the idea" said Beth earlier this week.
As well as general tips and advice Beth has plans to release new articles appropriate to the seasonal problems that arise. Releasing them in a timely fashion she hopes to bring owners attention to possible upcoming problems and offer a preventative course of action.
Beth was brought up on a small farm and has two cats of her own. She has known the loss of pets and is sympathetic to her clients both two and four legged in their stressful times. Growing up with an array of animals led her into veterinary nursing where she now takes the responsibility for training the new young nurses.
Beth added "My website is designed to help people with everyday problems that can often be dealt with at home. I have some exciting plans for the future of the site"
She will be introducing educational videos in the New Year and may even run a membership site. If Beth's enthusiasm is anything to go by the site will undoubtedly grow into a great resource for cat and dog lovers everywhere searching for answers to their questions on the net.
