The Wolfville Library C@P lab is now broadcasting 24/7 with announcements of current events, weather information, news, a wide variety of music, and much more. The Wolfville community radio project is a community radio station located at the Wolfville Memorial Library C@P lab, where “community”
Thanks to the partnership with Katimavik and their members Bill Wehrems and Steve Humphrey, the C@P lab has been developing and providing content for the 24/7 broadcasts. In addition, the radio project has major contributions from C@P lab volunteers Edward Williams, Zack Morine, Irene Moore and Ayah Shakshuki. Nick Kasteljanov, the manager of the Wolfville Library CAP site, founded the new Wolfville community Internet radio station.
Currently, the project is in need of eager volunteers from the community who would be willing to get involved and share some of their talents. Organizations and community groups are invited to provide content for the radio station. As well, with the aim of having a broad selection of music to appeal to all demographics, an invitation is extended to all the talented local musicians who would be willing to kindly donate permission to play their music free of royalties so that the community could share in some great listening.
This radio station has high ambitions to develop from an Internet radio station to an FM radio station.
