Washington, DC -- Filmmaker Kevin Stirling, the director/producer of ‘Moon Beat’ the award-winning documentary film which recalls the 1960’s space race featuring top news reporters and senior NASA officials, will appear on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal this Wednesday, December 2 at 9:30 a.m. ET to discuss the film. C-SPAN is available on most cable networks.

Moon Beat recalls President John F. Kennedy’s call to go to the moon, and the onset of the 1960s space race with the Soviet Union, leading to the 1969 flight of Apollo XI. The documentary revisits the events from the POV of the top news reporters who covered and wrote about the U.S. space program for many years including: John Noble Wilford,
New York Times, Al Neuharth, Founder, USA Today, Reg Turnill, BBC Aerospace Correspondent, George Alexander, Newsweek and Joe Morgenstern, Film Critic, The Wall Street Journal and many others.

The award-winning film also features interviews with senior NASA officials including Hugh W. Harris, Former Director of NASA Public Affairs and Jack King (Voice of Apollo) who is best remembered for his exhilarating Apollo launch countdowns by millions of Apollo enthusiasts around the world.
