(ISC)2 to Host Free Webinar on Advancing an Infosecurity Career in Challenging Times

Hour-long Webinar titled "ThinkTank: Advancing Your Career in a Difficult Environment" will be held on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. EST

Palm Harbor, Fla., U.S.A., – (ISC)2® (“ISC-squared”), the not-for-profit global leader in educating and certifying information security professionals throughout their careers with more than 66,000 members worldwide, will host a 60-minute Webinar on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. EST titled “ThinkTank: Advancing Your Career in a Difficult Environment.” The Webinar is open to anyone and free to all attendees.

Co-sponsored by Alta Associates and Norwich University, the Webinar will include a panel of information security career experts discussing professional development and advancement in today’s challenging business environment.  Panelists include:

•   John Orlando, program director, Norwich University
•   Joyce Brocaglia, CEO, Alta Associates and founder, Executive Women's Forum
•   Mark Brown, information security officer, Pinnacle Financial Partners

“With a tough economy, rising unemployment and downsizing by many organizations, employees are being asked to do more with less,” said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP-ISSEP, CAP, CISA, CNSS, executive director for (ISC)2.  “Many infosecurity professionals are looking for advice on how to survive this downturn and put themselves in a position to succeed now and when the turnaround comes.  This roundtable will address those topics and many more.”

The ThinkTank events are part of (ISC)2’s Security Leadership Roundtables, consisting of 60-minute Webinars in which influential security experts present and debate a range of thought-leadership topics surrounding pressing security challenges.  While the ThinkTank events are open to anyone, (ISC)2 members will be able to earn one Group A continuing professional education (CPE) credit for attending the online event.
