This holiday season will be a little brighter for shelter pets, thanks to the efforts of Melissa Naval and John Alex Vespa's local pet sitting and dog training company, K9 Elements. K9 Elements joined forces with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and pet sitters and owners from across the country for the third annual “Presents 4 Pets” campaign.
“Presents 4 Pets” is a national collection drive to benefit shelter and rescue animals. Held in conjunction with Humane Society of the United States National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, this program solicited products needed to help keep shelters and rescue organizations operational, and animals comfortable and safe.
As part of the program, NAPPS members reached out to their clients and encouraged them to collect and donate product for this worthy cause. Items such as toys, treats, blankets, towels, rugs, beds, bleach, leashes, collars, coupons, and newspapers were collected and donated to a local shelter of the company’s choice. This year, K9 Elements collected donations for the Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter.
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who donated to this worthy cause and helped to make the “Presents4Pets”
