Williamsburg Inn to Launch Proprietary Wine Brand

Regarded among the world’s great hotels, the Williamsburg Inn is the crown jewel of all hospitality properties in Williamsburg, Virginia and adjacent to the nation’s most celebrated live interactive history museums. For many, the Inn is a destination in itself. Built by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in 1937 and fully refurbished in 2001, the stately, full-service Williamsburg Inn has hosted numerous heads of state and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The proprietary “Williamsburg Inn” wines will include three varietal wines from Napa, California: a Chardonnay, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Merlot.
The Williamsburg Inn chose KDM for the wine creation, production and brand launch.
“For restaurants, hotels and all on-premise food and beverage businesses, proprietary label wines are compelling ways to differentiate from the competition, to cultivate customer loyalty …and to serve your guests much better wine,” said Jonathan Gelula, KDM’s President. “The Williamsburg Inn will do very well with their private label wines … their guests will love them and come back for them …a big “win” for the Inn’s bottom line.”
“Williamsburg Inn” brand launch is expected during the upcoming holiday season. The wines will initially be available exclusively at the Williamsburg Inn and at the Williamsburg Lodge.
