Nov. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- HI Hostel Venice (Italy) has launched a new website featuring amazing information on Venice, its rich culture and the surrounding islands. The new design was aimed to professionalise the backpacking sector and attract more awareness to French, Italian, German, Spanish and English-speaking hostellers. While Italy is known for maintaing everything historic, this website is evidence that Venice also has a modern side as well.
On the site you can find crisp videos of how to arrive to the hostel, since Venice is a true labyrinth, itineraries during your Venetian stay and the different benefits of becoming a YHA member. They have specials during the Christmas season to kick off the new website launch with rooms as low as $20 per bed. This is the only true hostel in all of Venice, Italy, so take advantage of the promotion and wealth of information on the site.
See the website at www.hostelvenice.org!
The Youth Hostel has 269 beds and facilities include meals, tv room, common rooms, tourist information, luggage store for members, lockers and group facilities. The Hostel is beautifully located in an ancient, refurbished grain store on Giudecca Island in the heart of Venice and is open all year round.
Finding cheap hostels in Venice is not easy. Venice Youth Hostel is the only YHA hostel in town, giving you YHA standards of quality. (Please note: YHA Membership required; annual membership card costs €18 or 3€ more for the first 6 nights).
For Christmastime only, they offer accommodation for 13 € only – until December 27th!
Venice YHA hostel lies on the beautiful island of Giudecca, just a few “vaporetto” (water bus) stops away from Venice’s main sights such as St. Mark’s square (5-10 minutes away), Rialto Bridge and Palazzo Ducale (the Doge’s Palace), famous museums like Grassi Palace, the Pinault art collection at Punta della Dogana or Peggy Gugghenheim’s Venice art gallery.
The hostel is one of the best cheap accommodations in Venice, a great starting point for your trips to Venice or to the neighboring islands of Murano (known for their glass work), Burano (known for their brightly colorful homes and knitted fabrics) and Torcello (known to be one of the oldest islands of Venetian habitants), which are all easily reachable by vaporetto.
Discover Venice, the Carnival, the Biennale, the International Film Festival, the thrill of the Casino or simply the magic of our “calli” (alleys) while saving money by staying at YHA Venice Hostel.
