Green Is Good, but Cap and Trade Is a Nightmare, Seattle Biz Coach Terry Corbell

Seattle management consultant Terry Corbell writes we can agree with President Obama that a green environment is good, but a cap-and-trade system would brown out efforts for a green economy and it would not prevent climate-change fraud.

Nov. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- President Obama is scheduled to attend the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference this month in Copenhagen, Denmark. His objective is to reduce global-warming pollution, which Seattle business consultant Terry Corbell agrees is notable.

However, legislation in Congress that would cap greenhouse gas emissions and allow trading for emission rights would damage the economic climate, writes Seattle business consultant Terry Corbell (http://www.bizcoachinfo.com), who also raises the specter of more Wall Street fraud.

“In addition to the questionable benefits of the proposal passed by the House and delayed by the Senate, there are some unanswered questions,” writes Seattle management consultant Terry Corbell. “Two Congressmen reveal that a climate fraud case holds secrets that need we need to uncover after all the chicanery on Wall Street.”

He says on its surface, the government premise to reduce greenhouse-causing carbon dioxide emissions looks like a promising idea.

“It has passed the House and is mired in the Senate,” writes Mr. Corbell. “Admittedly, America consumes about 21 billion barrels of oil daily – more than half is purchased from abroad – many of the nations are not considered loyal allies. Therefore, the environment would benefit from our using renewable, cleaner energy, which means it is a desirable idea.”

However, he writes it’s clear that a cap-and-trade system would increase prices to the end user – Americans already suffering to the brink in this downturn. The cost to business and consumers would be astronomical.
