Media Monitors Wins Five International Media
Measurement Awards including Two for Shell Singapore
Singapore, 30 November 2009 – Media Monitors, the leading media intelligence company in Asia Pacific, won two prestigious awards for their client, Shell Singapore, at the Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communications (AMEC) Awards in London. In total, Media Monitors took home five awards at the ceremony.
Media Monitors received a gold medal for Best Use of Communication Measurement:
Both award categories recognise Media Monitors as an international leader in demonstrating best practices in measurement of communication from print, broadcast and digital media either for a campaign or for ongoing activities in Singapore.
“Media Monitors has been a leading provider of media analysis in Singapore for many years, offering comprehensive content analysis to examine a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis using Computer Aided Research & Media Analysis (CARMA), an internationally recognised research methodology to develop strategic insights and determine the impact of media campaigns. We are delighted that the skills and experience of our industry-leading analysis team has been so richly rewarded by the international industry body”, said Mr Leon Hudson, Media Monitors’ Director of Sales and Client Services - South East Asia.
“A leading feature of the award winning analysis was our ability to analyse across news websites, blogs, TV and print media in Singapore including all language groups, with coverage in each language analysed by our multilingual staff. This gave Shell Singapore significant insight into how the communication of messages differed in each language demographic.”
“These awards recognise Media Monitors as an international leader in media measurement and further demonstrates the high level of sophistication of corporate communications in Singapore”, concluded Mr Hudson.
Media Monitors also received three other awards, namely silver medal for the Best Use of Communication Measurement:
Introduced in 2006, the International Members’ Award is an award presented to the entry which the judges felt was the most outstanding from all the entries received from an AMEC Member headquartered outside the UK.
